The following author appearances, readings and book events are planned for the coming week in the Valley:

BROADSIDE BOOKSHOP: Martha White presents her grandfather’s book, “E.B. White on Dogs,” Wednesday, 7 p.m., at the bookstore, 247 Main St., Northampton. 586-4235.

EASTHAMPTON ENRICHMENT CENTER: “Stories, Stones and Superstitions of Massachusetts” — Roxie Zwicker, author of “New England Curiosities,” speaks Thursday, 6 p.m., at the center, 19 Union St., Easthampton. Call 527-6151 to preregister.

ODYSSEY BOOKSHOP: Anne Easter Smith reads from her book “Royal Mistress” Monday, 7 p.m. at the bookstore in the Village Commons, 9 College St., South Hadley. 534-7307. The event requires the purchase of the book or a $5 ticket.

∎ Anthony Marra reads from “A Constellation of Vital Phenomena” Wednesday, 7 p.m. The event requires the purchase of the book or a $5 ticket.
