AS YOU LIKE IT

As sports go, falconry is among the oldest, with accounts of its practice dating back to 2000 BC. It made its way to Europe, where it became a popular pastime, and a status symbol among noblemen. This ancient sport will be among the features Sunday at the 5th Annual Community Renaissance Festival, which includes performances by the Amherst College Madrigal Singers, the Phoenix Swords, the Morris Dancers, jugglers and other Renaissance-inspired activities and demonstrations. The Renaissance Center Meadow, 650 East Pleasant St., Amherst, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free, rain or shine.

ANOTHER GOOD BET
