Kathleen Mellen’s best bets
‘Wrath of Mom’
Actress Kelsey Flynn is a world-class multitasker. I once interviewed her during a “break” in a rehearsal, and her rear end never hit a chair: She ran errands, grabbed a sandwich, chewed it between answers and hustled back to the theater. So it’s no surprise that she wrote a play, and first performed it, just three months after the birth of her baby. “Wrath of Mom,” Flynn says, is “part public service announcement, part confessional and part stand-up comedy.” It will, she adds, “rip the veneer off the airbrushed, soft-glow images of new motherhood.” Today, 7 and 8:15 p.m., Popcorn Noir, 32 Cottage St., Easthampton. Free.
