The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art in Amherst is celebrating its 10th anniversary this weekend with a slew of special events, including an exhibit of private art from its founder, former Northampton illustrator Eric Carle. On Sunday, many of the artists, including Carle, whose work has been displayed at the museum, will take part in a book signing from 1 to 4 p.m.

New York singer Jane Monheit has earned growing acclaim over the last 10 years for her romantic interpretations of jazz standards and cabaret songs, from “I’m Through with Love” to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” She’s won two Grammy nominations, and she’s also appeared as a guest vocalist on several other artists’ records. She’ll be at Bowker Auditorium at the University of Massachusetts Amherst Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
