To celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday, on March 1 from 6 to 8 p.m., visitors to the R. Michelson Galleries are invited to wear their most “Seussian” hats and to take part in a contest judged by Richard Michelson, the gallery owner.

What exactly is a Seussian hat? Gallery manager Paul Gulla won’t say: “Seuss means a lot of things to a lot of people. It will be interesting to see if somebody lets that inner part of them out and lets it sit on their head.”

At 7 p.m., Jeff Schuffman from the Chase Art Group will give a talk about the Art of Dr. Seuss.
