Weekend prep schools: Williston girls basketball opens with win over Kingswood-Oxford

Sarah Sullivan scored 24 points to lead the Williston girls basketball team to their first win of the season 52-42 over Kingswood-Oxford on Saturday.

Williston (1-0) led 25-24 at the half before pulling away.

Northampton’s Natalie Romain added nine points, and Fiona Bundy grabbed 10 rebounds.

Boys basketball

Williston 64, Nobles 59 — Mike Manley and Philip Rebraca scored 13 points each, as the Wildcats opened with a road win Saturday.

Josh McGettigan added 11 points, while Duncan LeXander had 10.

Boys swimming

Northfield Mount Hermon 89, Williston 80 — Sam Haddad, Jason Albanese and Shogo Kamei each won two individual events for the Wildcats on Saturday.

Girls swimming

Williston 100, Northfield Mount Hermon 81 — Debbie Wells, Alex Coppola and Molly Kinstle picked up their first career event wins, as the Wildcats won 10-of-12 events Saturday.

Boys ice hockey

Salisbury 4, Williston 2 — Logan Geisness and Tim Rego found the net in a road loss Saturday.

The Wildcats (0-1) trailed 4-0 in the first period.

Girls ice hockey

Williston 8, Millbrook 0 — Marielle McHale scored two goals in a road win Saturday. Maddy Cardaci, Maura Holden and Julia MacLean also found the net. Kate McDermott, Claudia Capone and Brianna Haviland scored their first goals career goals at Williston.

Girls squash

Hopkins 6, Williston 1 — Brooke Smith won in five games at the No. 1 position for Williston on Saturday.
