Wednesday's prep schools: Danforth’s career-high 29 points carries Williston

The Williston Northampton boys basketball team won its sixth straight game, 69-60, over Canterbury in Easthampton Wednesday.

Spencer Danforth had a career-high 29 points with five 3-pointers. Danforth had 17 points in the second half alone.

Duncan LeXander had 16 points, while Kyle Henseler added nine.

Girls Basketball

Williston 58, Westminster 35 — Sarah Sullivan had 12 points, while Olivia Bonivita had 11 points for the Wildcats.

Fiona Bundy (Easthampton) added eight points in the win.

Boys Hockey

Williston 2, Millbrook 1 (OT) — Nick Scofield scored with seven seconds left as the Wildcats won at Lossone Rink. JT Chamberlain also scored in the win.

Girls swimming

Williston 96, Westminster 80 — Sydney Joyce, Sally Alrutz and Ava Larkin each won two events as the Wildcats won on the road.

Boys swimming

Williston 96, Westminster 83 — David Fitch set pool records in the 50-yard freestyle and 100 Butterfield, while Jake Goodman won diving for the visiting Wildcats.

Fitch’s fly time of 51.04 seconds broke his own school record by one second.

Girls Squash

Miss Porter’s 7, Williston 0 — Dylan Fulcher-Melendy pushed her match to five games but the Wildcats were shut out at home.

Boys Squash

Berkshire 4, Williston 3 — Joe Shively, Zack Robbins and Tyler Senecal each won their match but the Wildcats fell at home.

Alpine Skiing

Williston’s Devin DeVerry finished first overall at the third Mount Institute Ski League race at Berkshire East in Charlemont.

DeVerry won the slalom in a combined 61.10 seconds. He finished his first run in 33.23 seconds followed by a run in 33.87.

Williston finished fourth with 176 points. Deerfield won with 254.

Williston’s Sophie Carellas was fifth in the girls slalom race (36.96, 39.70, 76.66).

Williston was fifth with 79 points. Northfield Mount Hermon won with 237.
