Wednesday’s high schools: Easthampton qualifies for girls volleyball postseason

The Easthampton girls volleyball team qualified for the Western Massachusetts Division 3 Tournament after a 3-2 win over Belchertown, Wednesday at home.

Anna Stabile and Devney Horne both had 15 kills in the 25-18, 17-25, 22-25, 25-8, 15-8 win for the Eagles (8-3).

Samantha Sypek had 19 digs while Autumn Pinard registered 37 assists.

Marissa Courchesne had 12 kills for the Orioles (7-6). Quinn Roche had eight kills and Cassidy Genereux added 15 assists.

Frontier Regional 3, Minnechaug 2 — Lauren Davenport’s 23 kills helped the Red Hawks win on the road.

Selayna Bathurst added 16 kills and 16 digs in the 20-25, 25-20, 26-24, 22-25, 15-7 victory.

Ella Deane finished with 48 assists for Frontier (9-4).

South Hadley 3, Sabis 0 — Nicole Niemiec had five aces and four kills in a 25-15, 25-17, 25-23 road sweep for the Tigers (6-3).

Natalie Patruno added 12 assists for South Hadley.

Field hockey

Turners Falls 0, Belchertown 0 — Kiersten Laramee and Abigail Rothstein combined for five saves in a home tie for the Orioles (1-8-3).
