Monday’s high school softball, lacrosse: Northampton’s Anna Kerwood 1-hits Longmeadow

Anna Kerwood gave up a hit in the first inning, and didn’t give up another for the Northampton softball team in a 17-0 road win over Longmeadow Monday.

The game ended after six innings.

Kerwood struck out four and didn’t give up walk, letting her defense make plays behind her. The Blue Devils did not make an error in the field.

Zoe Driscoll-Sbar (3-for-5) launched solo homers in the first and third innings.

Anna Connly had three hits and two RBIs, while Abigail Pelis connected on two hits with three RBIs.

Agawam 12, Hampshire Regional 9 — The Raiders (5-2) dropped their second straight game with a road loss to the Brownies.

Brielle Bergeron (four RBIs) had a two-run homer in the first inning for the Raiders, and Danielle McGan went 3-for-4 with an RBI.

The Raiders had a 9-7 lead going into the sixth inning before a five-run inning for the Brownies.

Sierra Raskevitz and Rachel Robinson had two hits and two RBIs each, while Robinson struck out nine with three hits and four walks to get the win on the mound.

Lisa Sikop drove in a run with two hits and scored twice for Easthampton (4-0).

Maegan Quinlan took the loss for Hopkins and led the Golden Hawks (2-4) with two hits.

Kelsey Bushey had Hopkins’ other hit, while Allison Markowski and Greta Kurtz scored runs.

Frontier Regional 10, Palmer 8 — Hanna LaClaire (RBI) had four hits, including a triple and a homer, as the Red Hawks held off a rally.

Ava Harper drove in two runs with two hits, and Sarah Meunier had three hits and an RBI.

Lauren MacDonald picked up the win for the Red Hawks (1-3), striking out five with two walks and 11 hits.

Lee 16, Smith Vocational 11 — Gabby Downie (run) was 4-for-4, while Allie Kowalczyk had two hits, including a three-run homer for the Vikings (3-3).

Boys lacrosse

Pope Francis 20, Granby 4 — Corey Hinkley had two goals, while Drew Wiesel and Mitchell Labbee each had one, but the Rams (3-3) fell on the road.

Doug Labbee had three assists, while Collin Stearns had one. Ryan Walz made eight saves.

Girls lacrosse

West Springfield 18, Amherst Regional 6 — The Hurricanes got two goals each from Jane O’Connell (assist), Malia MacDonald (assist) and Tea LaRaja, but it wasn’t enough in the road loss.

Cleo Hein made four saves for Amherst (1-6).
