Observations about comics

My goodness. Are we really debating the comics in the letters to the editor? Worse, here I am joining the fray.

Some quick observations, before the PC police come to take me away. Wednesday’s Close to Home features a shootout between police and criminals. Mr. Dithers is always hitting Dagwood on the head. Garfield constantly pushes Odie off the table, and Charlie Brown is still flat on his back, after Lucy has pulled the football from under him.

I’m reminded of the old expression: If they can’t take a joke …
