Wednesday’s local baseball: Easthampton beats Westfield in Intermediate Little League District 2 semifinal

Easthampton hit three home runs, while three pitchers combined on a five-inning no-hitter as the Intermediate All-Star team beat Westfield, 30-0, in the District 2 Tournament semifinals, Wednesday.

Easthampton will host Belchertown at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the championship at Sheehan Field.

Nick Lloyd, Tommy Vaillancourt and Justin Colpack homered in the win.

Lloyd had two hits and four RBIs. Vaillancourt had two hits and three RBIs, while Colpack had three hits and three RBIs.

Mike Rodriguez had two hits and four RBIs batting ninth. Nick Jolicoeur and Lloyd each scored four times, while Colin Larson was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs in the leadoff spot.

Lloyd (six strikeouts) started and tossed three hitless innings. Rodriguez (two strikeouts) and Hudson Fulcher-Melendy (three strikeouts) each had one inning of hitless relief.

Westfield American 13, Northampton 7 — Ryan Kirkendall and Grayson Loos had two hits each, but Northampton fell in a District 2 Tournament 9-11 pool play game at McDonald Field in Florence.

Loos went 2-for-3, while Kirkendall went 2-for-4 .

Trey Kuzmeski started on the mound while Liam Flynn pitched in relief for Hamp.

Flynn tripled, while Loos added a double.

Marty Maslowski also singled for Northampton.
