Amherst

Ethan Thayumanavan was named to the fall semester dean’s list at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Thayumanavan is enrolled in the university’s School of Engineering and Applied Science.

Jean-Pierre G. Torras has been selected for membership in the chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon, the national mathematics honorary society at St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York.

Torras is a member of the class of 2020 and is majoring in physics and mathematics. Torras attended Deerfield Academy.

Belchertown

Calandra Damouras is part of the Crane Opera Ensemble Production of ‘The Pirates of Penzance’ at SUNY Potsdam’s Crane School of Music in Potsdam, New York. The ensemble will present the Gilbert and Sullivan operetta, “The Pirates of Penzance” on April 20 and 21. Damouras will play Edith.

Northampton

Gina Whalen is traveling to Florence, Italy, studying language and architecture during spring term. Whalen is a member of the class of 2019 at Union College in Schenectady, New York, majoring in psychology and economics.

South Hadley

Rachelle Blais, class of 2018 at American International College in Springfield, was inducted into the Alpha Chi Honors Society. Blais is a psychology major.
