On Patriots’ Day
I attended the anti-war rally held in Northampton, one of many rallies, marches and protests — for many different things — I’ve covered over the years. Frances Crowe was there, as she often is, as were the the Raging Grannies and many other people who have been fighting for similar causes for a long time. This hat belongs to Cleo Gorman. The buttons struck me as telling a story, and I couldn't help but feel there was a bit of history there. I wondered which buttons make the cut, which ones get taken off to make space for new ones and which ones never get considered.
I guess I should have asked her, but instead
I took a picture.
