UMass men's basketball freshmen are all enrolled

The UMass men's basketball team's three incoming true freshman are all enrolled in classes and will be freshman in the fall according to coach Derek Kellogg.

While C.J. Anderson is already cleared and eligible, both big men, Rashaan Holloway and Malik Hines, are both waiting for the NCAA Clearinghouse to determine their status one way or the other. Even if they're ineligible, both players will remain on campus as nonqualifiers and begin playing next year.

UMass will need at least one player on its roster to be ineligible to avoid having too many scholarship players. If history is an indicator, it could be a few more weeks before it's all sorted out.
