ROWELL — Meghan Riley, daughter of William and Shannan (Chalmers) Rowell, of North Grafton, was born May 5 at UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester. The maternal grandparents are Karen and the late Steven Chalmers, of Florence. The paternal grandparents are Elizabeth and the late Douglas Rowell of Charlestown, R.I. The paternal great-grandparents are Waldo and Barbara Rowell of St. Petersburg, Fla. Meghan has one sister, Katie Rowell.

LAVALLEE — Jacob Alexander, son of Jeffrey and Sara Lavallee of Hatfield, was born May 1 at Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Northampton. The maternal grandparents are Mary and Michael Pequignot of Hadley. The paternal grandparents are Phyllis and Jim Lavallee of Hatfield. The maternal great-grandparents are Jane Dooley of Colchester, Vt., and Doris and Jules Pequignot of South Burlington, Vt. The paternal great-grandmother is Henryka Miastkowski of Hatfield. Jacob has one brother, Jeffrey Lavallee.
