Hakim Jamal Stewart, 27, of North Village Apartments, Unit J8, was arrested at 4:01 a.m. Friday on North Pleasant Street on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
A 22-year-old Canaan, N.Y., man will be summoned to court on a charge of possession of illegal fireworks after he was found on East Hadley Road with a bundle of Roman candles, including one that was lit, at 12:44 a.m. Friday.
A 42-year-old Amherst woman will be summoned to court on a charge of larceny under $250 after she was determined to be responsible for taking a donation box containing a small amount of money from the Jones Library, police said. The incident was reported by library staff at 10:40 a.m. May 9.
Christopher S. Bartlett, 20, of North Valley Road, Pelham, was issued a citation for failure to use care in turning and failure to yield to oncoming traffic after the vehicle he was driving at the intersection of North Pleasant and Meadow streets shortly before 4 p.m. Tuesday was involved in a collision with a vehicle driven by Amy R. Murphy, 53, of Montague.
Murphy was treated at the scene for minor injuries and both vehicles were towed, police said.
∎ Amber L. Theriault, 22, of Chicopee, was arrested about 1:45 a.m. Tuesday on Snell Street on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle to endanger and failure to stay within marked lanes.
∎ Police responded to Puffer’s Pond at 3:22 p.m. Monday for a report of more than 100 college-age people on the beach, with many allegedly consuming alcohol. They were advised that alcohol consumption at the conservation area is prohibited and told to put any alcoholic beverages back into their coolers. At around 5 p.m., police found about 25 people on the cliff above the pond and a section of fence designed to keep people out was missing. They were told to leave and the conservation department was notified about the damage.
∎ Melissa Bergeron, 25, of 39 Chapman Ave., Apt. 1, was arrested at 1:33 a.m. Friday on Maple Street on two warrants.
∎ Ryan Poulin, 22, of 33 Northampton St., was arrested at 8:38 p.m. Thursday on Williston Avenue on a warrant.
∎ Adam T. Picard, 33, of 89 Northampton St., was arrested at 9:14 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of shoplifting after he allegedly took a $14 box of wine from Big E’s Supermarket.
∎ Gary J. Laflamme Jr., 24, of 29 Pine St., was arrested at his home at 11:43 a.m. Wednesday on a charge of assault and battery after he allegedly pushed the mother of his child onto a couch.
∎ Police arrested a 16-year-old boy at a Meadowbrook Drive home at 9:17 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of assault and battery after he allegedly punched his mother in the chest.
∎ Danielle R. Townsend, 28, of 5A Harrison Ave., was arrested near her home at 8:22 p.m. Monday on charges of two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and malicious destruction of property under $250. Police said she punched the trunk of the car belonging to her neighbor’s girlfriend and then threatened her with two shovels.
∎ Mandi Leigh Lafi, 35, of 2 Dartmouth St., Apt. D, was arrested at 9:46 p.m. Sunday at 41 O’Neill St. on a charge of assault and battery after she allegedly punched her mother in the face.
∎ Police are investigating a report received at 12:48 p.m. Sunday from a man who said he dropped his wallet in Brookside Cemetery and then witnessed another man in his early 20s pick it up and leave with it. The wallet was later recovered on the side of the Manhan Rail Trail but $300 in cash was missing, police said.
∎ Police investigated a report received at 9:24 a.m. May 9 that someone had broken into a locked car parked at 116 Pleasant St., taken approximately $5 in coins, and smashed the windshield.
Robert J. Gaudette, 33, of Belchertown, was arrested on West State Street at 2:30 p.m. May 7 on a warrant issued by Eastern Hampshire District Court.
∎ Robert M. Slabinski, 80, of 18 Fruit St., was arrested at his home at 2:53 p.m. Thursday on a charge of violating an abuse prevention order after allegedly entering the apartment of the person who had taken out the order.
∎ Megan Suprenant, 17, of 33 Avis Circle, was not injured when her vehicle struck a parked car and then turned over onto its side near 284 Prospect St. at 12:34 p.m. Thursday.
∎ Zachary Marron, 21, of Turners Falls, was arrested at 6:54 p.m. Monday on Lincoln Avenue on a warrant issued by Northampton District Court on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration. Marron was arrested after police were sent to Lincoln Street for a report of a group of suspicious men soliciting door-to-door, police said.
∎ Timothy James Laflamme, 46, of 314 Acrebrook Drive, Florence, was arrested at 10:44 a.m. Monday on Acrebrook Drive on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon (shod foot) on a person over 60 or disabled, intimidation of a witness and assault and battery on a person over 60 or disabled. Laflamme threatened, kicked and pushed a family member during an argument, police said.
∎ David M. McAuliffe, 52, of 193 Granby Road, was arrested at home at 5:45 p.m. May 10 on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon after allegedly throwing a cordless phone.
∎ A Ferry Street resident reported at 1:40 p.m. May 10 that a copper mailbox was stolen between midnight and 7 a.m. that day. Anyone who saw anything suspicious should contact the detective unit at 538-8231.
∎ Riley Alexander Guy, 27, of 337 Newton St., was arrested on Lyman Street at 11:04 p.m. May 9 on charges of assault and battery, operating a motor vehicle with a license that has been suspended for operating under the influence, and possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. Police responded to a reported disturbance inside that vehicle at the intersection of Lyman Street and Granby Road.
∎ Police are investigating after a power line off Alvord Street in the area of McCray’s Farm apparently was damaged by gunfire, said Lt. Steve Parentela.
Northeast Utilities reported the damage at 4:17 p.m. May 7, and the incident is believed to have happened after April 1. The 115,000-volt line was not severed all the way through, and no power outages resulted from the incident, Parentela said. The line has since been repaired.

∎ A High Street resident reported at 12:50 a.m. May 5 that his home had been broken into and that an Xbox, PlayStation 3 and video games had been stolen since he left at 2:30 p.m. the previous day. Police said there were no signs of forced entry. Anyone who saw anything suspicious should contact the detective unit at 538-8231.
∎ Daniel J. Wilkens, 53, of Moultonborough, N.H., was arrested at 8:48 a.m. May 10 in Lot 33 off University Drive on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense, receiving stolen property under $250, operating a motor vehicle with a number plate to conceal identity, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with no inspection sticker, as well as five warrants.
∎ Terrence Bentley, 61, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., was arrested at 1:41 p.m. May 9 at McGuirk Alumni Stadium on charges of assault and battery and disorderly conduct.
