HEADING FOR HOME
QUABBIN PARK, WARE
Photograph and text by Carol Wasserloos of Hatfield
We came upon this opossum as he, like the rest of us, was taking advantage of a plowed surface to move about on a sunny day. Quite soon, however, he climbed a snowbank several times taller than he was, and moved quickly along an established path, headed toward a culvert that would take him under the road and down the hill — toward home, we hoped.
This image was made with a 50mm lens and a DSLR camera.
