Springfield food delivery driver robbed

SPRINGFIELD — Springfield police are looking for the person who robbed a food delivery driver.

Police say someone approached the driver for the Yummy Yummy Chinese restaurant from behind at about 6:20 p.m. Sunday as he was ringing the bell at a house on Robert Dyer Circle.

The house is vacant.

The robber told the driver he had a gun, but the victim did not see either the thief or a weapon.

The thief made off with an undisclosed amount of cash as well as the food. The driver was unhurt.

There have been no arrests.
