Clare Robinson & Matthew Heaphy
Clare Farne Robinson and Matthew Dickinson Heaphy of Brooklyn, N.Y., were married Sept. 17, 2011, at Fort Barry Parade Ground at Golden Gate National Recreation Area in Sausalito, Calif. Mark Sanford, the bridegroom's uncle, officiated at the 4 p.m. ceremony.
The bride, who is keeping her name, is the daughter of John Robinson and Eileen Tomaney Robinson of Perth, Australia. The bridegroom is the son of Alice Leverett Wilder of Amherst and Henry O'Brien Heaphy of Northampton.
A reception was held at Headlands Center for the Arts in Sausalito.
Michael Bede Robinson, the bride's brother, was the man of honor. The flower girls were Holly Frances Eastoe, the bride's cousin, and Chloe Diana Eastoe, the bride's goddaughter and cousin.
Stephen Coppinger Heaphy, the bridegroom's brother, was the best man.
The bride, 29, is senior program officer at Scholars at Risk in New York, N.Y. A 2001 graduate of San Ramon Valley High School in Danville, Calif., she received a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2005 and a master's degree in politics from New York University in New York, N.Y., in 2008.
The bridegroom, 37, is the deputy convener at the American Non-Governmental Organizations Coalition for the International Criminal Court, a program of the Columbia University Institute for the Study of Human Rights in New York, N.Y. A 1993 graduate of Deerfield Academy, he received a bachelor's degree in French and Italian Romance literature from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn., in 1997 and a juris doctor degree in international and comparative law from the University of San Francisco School of Law in San Francisco, Calif., in 2003.
