MILLERS FALLS - Kathryn Trachy, 81, of 22 Grand Ave., passed away on Jan. 20, 2012, at her home. She was born Aug. 31, 1930, in Colebrook, N.H., and graduated from Amherst High School.

She was married to John Harvey, who predeceased her. She later married Edward Trachy.

Before retiring, Kathy was a home health care assistant in Palm Beach, Fla. She returned to this area to be near her family.

Kathy leaves behind her son, Harlan Harvey and wife Brenda of Millers Falls; her daughter, Kate Harvey Perkins of Lake Mattawa; grandchildren Hannah, Halle, Hattie and Lee of Texas; and great-grandchildren Brianna, Drew and Alex. Kathy was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Harvey.

A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date. She will be buried in the North Leverett Cemetery in the spring.
