The Belchertown girls swimming team completed a perfect regular season Tuesday afternoon with an dominant 122-45 victory over West Springfield at Chestnut Hill Middle School.

The Orioles (12-0, 7-0 Patriot) finished first in every event but one, and had 13 different swimmers contribute to the victory.

In the 100 freestyle, sophomore Bryanna Veroneau set another school record with a time of 55.4 seconds. She bested the previous mark of teammate Ashley Chumbley, who had a time of 55.95 at last February's state championship.

Julia Maloof took first in a pair of events for Belchertown - the 200 individual medley (2:32.38) and the 100 breaststroke (1:20.56).

Boys swimming and diving

Swimming the anchor leg on his senior day, Adam Burt pulled away in the 400 free relay to give Easthampton a 93-89 upset of Central, Tuesday at Williston.

Burt also won the 200 free in 2:15.34 and was part of the winning 200 medley relay. He was joined by Matt Fletcher, Cody Payson and Cameron Green in the decisive 400 free.
