HADLEY - David R. Wzorek, 64, of Hadley, formerly of Northampton, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at the Hadley at Elaine Care and Rehabilitation Center.

David was born Jan. 8, 1948, in Northampton. He worked for the family business, Wzorek Concrete, and later worked on his own doing concrete work. David enjoyed the outdoors and fishing, canoeing, gardening, beekeeping and a good tag sale or flea market.

He leaves two brothers, James Wzorek Jr. and William Wzorek; his daughters, Sherri and Wendy; four grandchildren, Rickey, Randy, Ashley and Kelsey; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

A celebration of David's life will be held in the spring. There are no calling hours and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to the local Alcoholics Anonymous chapter: Western Mass Intergroup, 474 Pleasant St., Holyoke, MA 01040.
