Olivia Riordan scored a game-high 12 points with seven rebounds and played a solid all-around game to lead the Frontier girls basketball team to a 46-31 victory at Pioneer Regional Tuesday night.

Carly Donnis added eight points in the win for the Red Hawks (7-4, 7-4 Franklin South).

Courtney Parent scored a team-high seven points for the Red Hawks (6-4, 6-4 Franklin South), who lost 64-29 to Mahar on Jan. 20 and saw their four-game winning streak broken by the undefeated Senators (11-0, 10-0 Franklin North) in Orange.

Boys basketball

Danny Kieras (15 points), Paul Decker (11 points) and Nate Perret (16 points) all scored in double figures as the Red Hawks (10-2, 9-2 Hampshire West) cruised past Pioneer Regional 63-46 and qualified for the postseason Monday in South Deerfield.

Ryan Hoar had 12 rebounds for the Red Hawks.

Perret scored a team-best 16 points for the Red Hawks, who saw their five-game winning streak end with a 55-51 loss to Mahar in Orange on Jan. 19.

Hockey

Cody Booska (two goals, one assist), Tim McMahon (one, two) and Travis Holloway (one, two) each had three points as the Indians (3-9) beat St. Joseph's 5-2 won in Greenfield on Monday.

Keegan Downie also scored for Turners, while Brandon Lenois, Cam Porter, Jordan Cutting and Ryan Lenois were credited with one assist.

Will Miller made 24 saves in the win.

McMahon scored with an assist from Jack Powers but the Indians (2-9) fell 2-1 to St. Mary's Saturday.

Alpine skiing

Sean Doyle earned runner-up status at Tuesday's PVIAC boys giant slalom race at Berkshire East in Charlemont.

Doyle finished the race in 25.64 seconds, coming in just over a second behind winner John Mentor of Longmeadow (24.48). The Red Hawks came in fifth in the North division.

Alison Zera was 25th at 52.02 Tuesday on the girls slalom.

Doyle finished third overall on the slalom with a time of 36.99 seconds on Jan. 19. Alison Green was 21st in 31.02 on the giant slalom.
