Corey Deres scored two goals, including the game winner, as the Amherst Regional hockey team beat Easthampton 4-3 Saturday at Orr Rink in Amherst.

Deres also added two assists for the Hurricanes (4-6-1, 1-1 Fay).

Joseph Gazaille and Jason Sloat each scored once, while Luke Allen had two assists in the win.

Ben Thompson made 28 saves for his first career victory.

David York, Jake Opalanek (assist) and Patrick Bradley scored for the Eagles. Kevin Curran, Rob Carmel and Andrew Fleming each had one assist.

Matt Sarafin made 18 saves in the loss.

Agawam 2, Greenfield 1 - Barrett Rogalski of Smith Academy made 23 saves but the Green Wave (9-1-1) dropped their first game of the season at the Olympia Ice Center in West Springfield Saturday.

St. Mary 2, Turners Falls 1 - Tim McMahon scored with an assist from Jack Powers but the Indians (2-9) fell at Collins-Moylan Rink in Greenfield Saturday.
