The Amherst Regional girls indoor track team beat Holyoke 72-22 Tuesday night at Smith College.

Audrey Gould was second overall in the 2-mile in 11:32.32, which is a 10-second personal best. Emma Biggs was second in the 300 in 44.04.

The Amherst boys beat Holyoke 48-47 Tuesday, as James Traester won the 1,000 (2:41) and Jesse Coull was second in the mile (4:45.77).

Gabe Fishman (1,000), Gary Burnett (55 hurdles) and Ryan Mathers (2-mile) picked up thirds for Amherst.

Hockey

Luke Allen and Jason Sloat scored goals but Amherst fell 5-2 to Turners Falls Saturday in Greenfield.

Boys swimming

The Hurricanes didn't have a single first-place finish Tuesday in a 127-56 loss to Minnechaug at Amherst Middle School.

The Hurricanes girls dropped their second straight league meet Tuesday with a 124-61 loss to Minnechaug at Amherst Middle School.

Nate Kane (138) earned a pin in the Hurricanes' 48-6 loss at Granby Saturday.

Skiing

Greg Lerner finished sixth overall in the boys giant slalom race Tuesday at Berkshire East in Charlemont. Lerner had a time of 26.28 seconds.
