Margaret L. Couchon, bookkeeper
EASTHAMPTON - Margaret (Ledoux) Couchon, 91, formerly of Easthampton, passed away Jan. 12, 2012, at Mount St. Vincent Care Center in Holyoke.
She was born Feb. 24, 1920, in Westhampton, the daughter of the late John and Rose Anna (Dauphinais) Ledoux.
Margaret retired as a bookkeeper for the former Hampshire Chrysler Plymouth in Easthampton. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Valley Church and the former Notre Dame Church, where she worked on the parish picnic and the annual Catholic Appeal. She was also a member of the Ladies of St. Anne Society.
Margaret was married to the late Francis "Mike" Couchon, who passed away in 1999. She leaves two daughters, Patricia Flaherty of Ludlow, and Cecile Campbell of Greenfield; a son, Robert Couchon of Mesa, Ariz.; a sister, Jeannette Dionne of Easthampton; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers Lawrence and Norman Ledoux, her sister, Theresa Pepin, and her son-in-law, Thomas Flaherty.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, Jan. 21, at 10 a.m. at the Boucher-O'Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant St., Easthampton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of The Valley Church, 33 Adams St., Easthampton. Burial will be next to her husband in St. Brigid's Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.
