Brian Desrochers leads Belchertown hockey over Chicopee

Brian Desrochers scored a hat trick as the Belchertown hockey team beat Chicopee 9-1 in Holyoke on Saturday.

Sean Kennedy (one assist) and Austin Duhaime each scored twice, while Alex Bachand (one goal, one assist), Keean Bell (one goal, one assist) and Tommy Daley (two assists) each registered multiple points.

Travis Greely made 14 saves in the victory for the Orioles (5-5).

Turners Falls 5, Amherst Regional 2 - Keegan Downie, a Frontier Regional student, scored twice as the Indians (2-7) knocked off the Hurricanes (3-5-1) in Greenfield on Saturday.

Tim McMahon, Cody Booska and Travis Holloway each had a goal and two assists for Turners, while Jack Powers made 19 saves.

Luke Allen and Jason Sloat scored the goals for Amherst, while Caseem Knight was credited with an assist.

Eddie Sablak made 41 saves in the loss.

Greenfield 3, Chicopee Comp 2 - Barrett Rogalewski, a Smith Academy student, made 33 saves as the Green Wave (8-0-1) remained undefeated with the win Saturday in Holyoke.

Eric Cameron scored twice for Greenfield.

Wrestling

Granby 66, Hampden Charter 13; Granby 48, Amherst 6; Granby 63, Northampton 18; Agawam 43, Granby 30; Agawam 41, Northampton 21-  Cody Griswold (220 pounds) had three pins, while Casey Beaudry (120), James Cupack (182) and Nicholas Sousa (285) each secured two as the Rams went 3-1 at home Saturday.

Nate Kane (138) earned a pin in the Hurricanes loss, while Michael Rodriguez (120) and Kyle Cote-Houghton (145) had pins for the Blue Devils.

Williston 5, Winchendon 3 - Alex Paolo and Matt Dupont each had a goal and two assists as the Wildcats won Saturday in Winchendon.

Girls hockey

Williston 3, Gunnery 1 - Alex Starzyk (one assist), Maddie Jerolman and Alicia Barry each scored goals for the Wildcats on Saturday in Washington, Conn.

Boys basketball

Cheshire 60, Williston 35 - Keegan Dunlop had 12 points and six rebounds, but the Wildcats fell Saturday in Cheshire, Conn.

MacDuffie School 79, Williams School 52 - Kerem Kanter scored 25 points as MacDuffie won Saturday.

Girls basketball

Cushing 50, Williston 38 -  Natalia Ovando scored 16 points, but the Wildcats (3-6) fell at home Saturday.

MacDuffie School 44, Miss Halls 31 - Karina Gonzalez scored a game-high 25 points as MacDuffie (2-4) won Saturday.

Boys squash

Williston 6, Trinity-Pawling 1 - Walt Iamcuri, Evan Jacobson and David Fay each won in straight sets Saturday for the Wildcats (4-1) in Williamstown.
