Kate Sullivan's buzzer-beating 3-pointer forced overtime, but the Hopkins Academy girls basketball team fell in the extra period 44-41 to Easthampton at home Monday night.

Mackenzie Sullivan scored a season-high 12 points along with five rebounds, while Olivia Mathieu added 11.

Both players fouled out late in the game as Hopkins (5-4, 5-2 Franklin South) led until the final 61 seconds of regulation.

Kate Sullivan finished with six points.

Hopkins scored the game's first 10 points and led 12-2 after the first quarter.

Madison Stevens scored a career-high 18 points, all in the second half, as the Golden Hawks rolled to a 60-14 victory over Greenfield on Jan. 5.

Boys basketball

Chris Koch scored nine points for the Golden Hawks (0-9, 0-7 Hampshire West) in a 54-27 loss to Easthampton Tuesday.

Satchel Teixeira had nine rebounds to go with four points in a 39-19 loss to Greenfield on the road Jan. 6.

Tim Knightly scored a team-high six points for Hopkins.
