South Hadley hockey ties Agawam to remain undefeated

Despite putting 35 shots on goal, the South Hadley hockey team could only find the back of the net once in a 1-1 tie with Agawam Wednesday night at Fitzpatrick Rink in Holyoke.

Forward Spencer Nawrocki scored the lone goal for South Hadley (7-0-1), which remains undefeated on the season. Chris Menard and Doug Sattler picked up assists on the goal.

Both teams spent most of the game with their special team units on the ice, as 25 total penalties were called.

Goaltender Devin Hoagland made 23 saves in the tie for South Hadley, which defeated the Brownies 3-2 in the teams' first meeting Dec. 23.
