Engineers: The starting salaries in engineering positions can't be beat, but becoming an engineer is a whole lot of work.

Green tech: Sustainability, farming, Al Gore stuff. These jobs are very important for the future of our planet.

Health care: People aren't going to stop getting sick. Or maybe with your help, they will.

Accounting: Sounds boring, but there are actually jobs available and they pay pretty well.

Teaching: Make a difference in someone's life. If my friend Ben can get a teaching job after college, it can't be that hard.

Technology: Computers and other advanced technologies are literally everywhere these days, but nobody knows how they work. If this is something you are capable of, you're going to make a lot of money.

Business careers: Be a boss. Order people around. Have people kissing your butt to get ahead. Be a manager.

Nonprofit businesses: I don't know how you make money in nonprofit but all the career center directors talked about these jobs, so you probably want them.
