The high school football season began under wet conditions Monday. Teams at Amherst Regional, Belchertown, Easthampton, Frontier Regional, Northampton and South Hadley took to the practice fields with the first of three conditioning days allowed by the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association.

The Northampton football team began its quest to rebound from a 3-7 2009 season. The team huddles before breaking up for another drill.
