The Today Show and Slate.com report: Was Phoebe Prince a bully?
SOUTH HADLEY -- Slate.com journalist Emily Bazelon is again turning the Phoebe Prince story on its head.
In January, Prince, 15, committed suicide after being bullied relentlessly at South Hadley High School. Six fellow students there were charged in connection with her death.
In her latest online report, Bazelon follows Prince’s story to Ireland, where she posits that the recently bullied Prince was a bully herself.

In earlier reports, Bazelon put forth the possibility that, "the serious and unusual felony charges brought against the six teens represent prosecutorial overreach, given that Phoebe had mental health troubles before the bullying began, that she was caught up in conflicts that other South Hadley kids saw as 'normal girl drama,' and that the bullying, while wrong, was not the 'relentless' three-month campaign the district attorney described."
NBC's Today Show ran with its own version of Slate.com's story, as well. That can be seen here:

All the more reason
For them to NOT bully her! No compassion - don't try to befriend her - just bully her more! If she were mentally challenged or of color would they be able to get away with this??? Don't think so!
Pathetic
Instead of these teens taking responsibility for their actions, their lawyers will drag the victim through the mud. Same old story. Just like in many crime cases.
It does not matter what Phoebe Prince's past was, these teens drove her to it. What kind of society do we live in that we excuse the actions of others by crucifying the victim. PATHETIC!
