Florence - Catherine A. (Cahillane) Fiske, 56, of 56 Maple St., was taken home on her 57th birthday Irish time after fighting a courageous two year battle with cancer.

Born in County Kerry, Ireland, July 28, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Bridget (Sullivan) Cahillane. She moved to Northampton and was a 1971 graduate of Northampton High School. She went on to attend Springfield Technical Community College. After graduation, she worked as a wedding planner for Loring Studios in Springfield. She also worked as a real estate agent for Bourque Realty in Westfield. She later moved to California where she worked as a real estate agent for several years, moving back to Northampton in 2005. Catherine lived life to its fullest and enjoyed traveling and shopping.

She is survived by her two brothers, Stephen Cahillane and his wife, Carol, of Florence, and Patrick Cahillane and his wife, Barbara, of Leeds; her four sisters, Josie Hebert and her husband, Doug, of Florence, Bridget Cronin of Ireland, Hanna Cahillane of Easthampton, and Norah Burns-Seiger of Easthampton; two stepchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services for Catherine will be private. Memorial donations may be made to United Cerebral Palsy, 208 West St., Pittsfield, MA 01201, or to the VNA Hospice of Cooley Dickinson, P.O. Box 329, Northampton, 01061. The Ahearn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
