Snow Cap

Winchester Road, Northfield, Feb. 27

For me, the first sign of spring is the appearance of sap buckets along Winchester Road. Even with a foot of fresh snow, I know that change is underway. By the end of maple sugaring season the buds on the trees will be fat and snowdrops will be blooming in my yard. The image was captured with a D-SLR camera and a telephoto zoom lens.
