Delia Heath, loved travel, family gatherings
WILLIAMSBURG - Delia Barnaby DeLisle Heath died on March 13, 2010, at Elaine Sunbridge in Hadley.
Born May 21, 1914, in Ellenburg, N.Y., she was the daughter of Peter and Celina (Carter) Barnaby. She attended schools in New York and was a member of St. Mary's Church in Haydenville. She was predeceased by husbands Richard DeLisle and Charles Heath.
Delia leaves a son, Ernest DeLisle of Pompano Beach, Fla.; and daughter, Shirley Cranston of Williamsburg; as well as five grandchildren, Debra, Susan, Bonnie, Gordon Jr., and Richard; 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was employed at the former Pro Brush as a projection molder for 36 years. She was an avid bingo player and loved needlework, traveling and family gatherings.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Church Improvement Fund for St. Mary's Church in Haydenville and the American Diabetes or Alzheimer's charities.
The family wishes to thank the caregivers, doctors and staff at Elaine Sunbridge for taking care of Delia from May 24, 2007, to March 13, 2010.
There are no calling hours. Burial will be in the spring and at the convenience of the family. Childs Funeral Home of Haydenville is in charge of the arrangements.
