UNH rallies past UMass women's lacrosse

The University of Massachusetts women's lacrosse team had a two-goal halftime lead but New Hampshire rallied with seven goals in the second half for an 11-8 victory Wednesday at McGuirk Stadium.

The Minutewomen (2-4) led 6-4 at halftime but the Wildcats scored the first five goals of the second half, including one 15 seconds after the break.

Jackie Lyons (one assist), Danielle Pelletier and Jesse O'Donnell each scored two goals for UMass. Merritt Cosgrove had a goal and an assist for the Minutewomen, and Haley Smith added the other score.

Katie Florence made nine saves in goal for UMass, which was outshot 23-20.
