Harvard scores last two to edge Minutewomen

The University of Massachusetts women's lacrosse team four times came from behind to tie the game, but Harvard scored the last two goals to take a 10-8 victory Saturday at McGuirk Stadium.

The Minutewomen (2-3) scored the first goal for their only lead.

Merritt Cosgrove and Haley Smith each scored twice for UMass.

Nina Sarcona, Jesse O'Donnell, Dayna Defliese and Ryan Gorman also scored for the Minutewomen.

Katie Florence made seven saves in goal for UMass which had a 24-22 shot advantage over the Crimson (1-0).

The Minutewomen play New Hampshire at 3 p.m. Wednesday at McGuirk Stadium.
