Minutewomen fall to Flyers

Four starters scored in double figures for the University of Massachusetts women's basketball team on Saturday, but the Minutewomen could not overcome 17 turnovers and lost 74-60 to Dayton at the Mullins Center.
The Flyers (20-5, 8-2 Atlantic 0) converted the turnovers into 20 points.
Diatiema Hill led the Minutewomen (9-16, 3-7 A-10) with 15 points, five assists and four rebounds.
Jasmine Watson (seven rebounds, six blocks, two steals) and Kristina Danella (five rebounds, each added 12 points for UMass, and Kim Benton contributed 10 points and five assists.
Dayton led 31-27 at halftime.
The Minutewomen will play La Salle at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Philadelphia.
