Hampshire crushes Southwick

Hampshire Regional 63, Southwick 30 -The Red Raiders led 25-14 at halftime but exploded in the third quarter, outscoring the Rams 19-1 en route to the victory in Southwick.

The win guaranteed Hampshire (15-2, 6-0 Bi-County North) at least a share of the league title, its first since it shared the Bi-County West with Sabis in 2006-07.

Branden Labrie scored a game-high 26 points for the Raiders and needs 50 points to reach the 1,000-point milestone.

Keith Cotnoir added nine points for Hampshire, Alex Brunelle (seven assists) and Shane Andrews each scored eight points and Dan Morse had seven.

The loss eliminated the Rams (6-11, 0-6) from postseason contention.

Granby 67, Smith Vocational 66 #- Clinton Sapowsky scored a game-high 27 for the Rams (6-10) as they kept their playoff hopes alive with the win in Northampton.

Despite 39 combined points from Andy Blair (19 points) and Kieffer Staples (20 points) the Vikings (1-14) could not get the upset.

Andy Gifford made four 3-pointers on his way to 14 points for Granby, and Corey Baker chipped in 11 points.

Scott Matusiewicz joined Staples and Blair in double figures with 10 points for Smith.
