GOSHEN - Edward M. Korash, 58, died Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009, peacefully at his home.

Born in 1951, he was the son of the late Edward and Nellie (Mateja) Korash. He leaves his devoted wife, Mary Anne (Fill) Korash, and his adoring daughters, Jennifer and Kristie Korash.

He also leaves a very special granddaughter, Madisyn Korash, and his brother and best friend, David Korash and his wife, Marie. Edward also leaves several nieces and nephews. His family gives special thanks to Rick and his neighbor and caregiver Brian for all of their help.

Edward worked for years with his father at Lane Construction. He started his own business, C & K Paving, and later worked in the deli at Stop & Shop. He was a pet lover and enjoyed watching the wildlife at his home in Goshen.

Edward also enjoyed trips to Florida and the casinos. He was an avid Tony Stewart fan and an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Calling hours for Edward will be Wednesday afternoon from 2 to 4 at the Ahearn Funeral Home in Northampton.

A wake service will be held at 4 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the Highland Ambulance Service, 56 Main St., Goshen, MA 01032.
