MIDDLETOWN, Conn.- Kimberly McGrath, "Kim," 41, of Middletown, beloved mother of Alexa Rae Esposito, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, after a courageous four-month battle with cancer.

She was born on Dec. 18, 1967, in Hartford and graduated from North Haven High School. She worked for the Travelers Insurance Co. Her involvement with Stampin' Up allowed her to express her creativity and establish many long-lasting friendships.

Besides her daughter, Alexa, Kim is survived by her mother, Judith "Judy" (LaLiberte) Pascale of Middletown; her father, David McGrath, and Marilyn Hunter of Florence, Mass.; her stepfather, Albert A. Pascale of North Haven; her brother, Brett McGrath and his wife Kimberly and their children, Olivia, Hannah, Finn and Jack of Wethersfield; her maternal grandparents, Edmond and Doris LaLiberte of East Hartford; a stepbrother, Albert R. Pascale of Manchester; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. She also leaves her former husband, John Esposito.

Funeral will begin at 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 23, at D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield, followed by a 10 a.m. service at the First Church of Christ, 250 Main St., Wethersfield. Entombment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hours will be Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
