Hatfield - Genevieve V. (Kot) Jackowski, 85, of Linseed Road, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009 at Baystate Medical Center.

Born in Holyoke on Jan. 3, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Wojciak) Kot. Kitty graduated from Mater Dolorosa School and from Holyoke High School in 1942. She was a clerk for Adelson's Jewelers for many years. She was a communicant of the Holy Trinity Church and a member of the Holy Name Rosary Sodality and the Shawl Ministry. Kitty was a great homemaker who loved knitting and oil and watercolor painting.

She leaves her husband, Alphonse; sister, Elizabeth Giordano of Springfield; daughter Janice D'Addamio and her husband John of Washington; sons, James and his wife Karen of Southampton, and John and his wife Laurie; and their three children, Kristen, Ashley, and Allison, all of West Springfield. She also leaves her "adopted daughter" and loving caregiver, Ruth Braman.

The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Friday from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Holy Trinity Church. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association. Czelusniak Funeral Home of Northampton is in charge of arrangements.
