Doris Widelo, 81, bookkeeper

EASTHAMPTON - Doris (Roy) Widelo, 81, of Lawndale Street, passed away on Nov. 12, 2009.

She was born in Easthampton and was the daughter of the late Albert and Exoria (Lanoue) Widelo. Doris retired in 1991 as a bookkeeper for the former Manchester Furniture in Easthampton. She was a communicant of Notre Dame Church, a member of the Northampton Golden Agers, a volunteer for the Retired Senior Volunteer Program since 1994 and the United Way of Hampshire County.

She leaves her husband of 57 years, Leon Widelo; her son, Steven Widelo and his wife Debbie of Winchester, Ky.; her daughter, Debra Korza of Easthampton; four brothers, Pete Roy of Springhill, Fla., Robert Roy of Holyoke, Eugene Roy of Southampton and Ernie Roy of Easthampton; her sister-in-law, Pauline Osley of Hatfield; grandchildren Shawn and Kimberly Korza and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Boucher-O'Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant St., Easthampton, followed with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Notre Dame Church. Burial will be in the Brookside Cemetery.

Calling hours are Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. Donations in her memory may be made to the Notre Dame Church Memorial Fund, 35 Pleasant St., Easthampton, MA 01027 or to the charity of one's choice.
