WILLIAMSBURG - Adam A. Washburn, 38, the beloved son of Julia and Timothy Washburn, passed away Oct. 29, 2009 at his home.

He was born in Northampton on October 16, 1971. Adam was a graduate of the Williston-Northampton School in Easthampton and graduated with honors from Holyoke Community College. Adam loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them. His charm and wit amazed everyone he met.

He leaves his parents, Timothy and Julia (Jennison) Washburn of Leeds; sisters, Abigail Washburn of Northampton and Anna Rayner and her husband Jeremy their newborn son Maxwell, and Jeremy's son Gavin of Stockbridge, Vt.; his paternal grandmother, Marion Washburn of Northampton. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Rev. Francis Washburn and his maternal grandparents, David and Rosemary Jennison. Adam also leaves his two dogs, Josie and Annie.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
