Tigers nip Blue Devils

South Hadley 3, Northampton 1 - Lida Hills scored two goals and set up the other as the Tigers eliminated the Blue Devils (5-9-2, 4-5-2 Central) from postseason contention.

Meghan McClaflin added a goal and an assist for South Hadley.

Grace Szydziak played well on defense in front of Tigers goaltender Mic Boyer (seven saves).

Boyer was honored along with Emily McClintock as part of senior day for South Hadley.

South Hadley (9-5-3, 8-1-2) also gained a win resulting from Monday's 1-0 loss to Cathedral becoming a forfeit victory. The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association ruled that the Panthers scheduled too many regular-season games.

Demaris Miller had the lone Northampton goal on an assist from Vivi Ford.

Blue Devils goalie Molly Brooks made 10 saves.
