Tigers, Panthers play to scoreless draw
South Hadley 0, Palmer 0 - The first-place Tigers (5-4-2, 5-1-2 Central) nearly came away with the win, but a last-second goal was called off as they played to a tie against the second-place Panthers (5-4-3, 4-2-2).
South Hadley was awarded a corner with 10 seconds left and Lindsay Conner scored with an assist from Kayla Narey at the buzzer.
However, a corner infraction called on Palmer a split second before the goal nullified the tally.
The Tigers had a second corner with no time left but a shot was stopped by goalie Julie Hurley (11 saves) and the Palmer defense cleared the ball to end the game.
South Hadley goalie Mic Boyer also had 11 saves for her third shutout of the season.
The teams played to a 3-3 tie earlier this year. In that game the Tigers scored with no time left in the first half and again with no time left in the second half.
Westfield 2, Northampton 0 - Goalie Molly Brooks made 15 saves as the Blue Devils (4-6-2) were shut out at home.
West Springfield 1, Amherst Regional 0 - The Hurricanes (2-7-1) had eight shots on goal, but could not convert any and lost on the road.
Ellie Massengill made nine saves in goal for Amherst.
