King sisters lead Hamp

Seven goals by the King sisters got the Northampton girls lacrosse team its second win of the season on Thursday afternoon.

Sophomore Emily King had four goals and her older sister Erin, a senior, had three as the Blue Devils (2-0) jumped ahead of West Springfield (0-1) early and cruised to a 15-5 win at home.

Julia Sullivan had three goals for Northampton, Bridget Keefe added two, and Johanna Fleming, Kayla Strom and Elisa Pasche each had one.

Jenny Long made four saves in goal for the Blue Devils as their defense prevented the Terriers from getting many shooting opportunities.

Longmeadow 20, Amherst Regional 1 - Michayla Warren scored off a Hannah Fishman assist for the only goal by the Hurricanes (0-2) in the loss to the regional power on the road.

Ciara Dudeck and Shea Kusiak each had four goals and one assist for the Lancers (2-0).
