The University of Massachusetts women's basketball team lost 72-51 to Duquesne y in the first round of the Atlantic 10 tournament Friday night at the Halton Arena in Charlotte, N.C.

Senior Sakera Young led the Minutewomen (12-18) with 16 points and added two steals, and Stefanie Geradot scored 13 points.

Sophomore Teya Wright added nine rebounds and three steals for UMass.
