The University of Massachusetts women's basketball team could not overcome a large first-half deficit and fell 67-44 at St. Bonaventure Saturday afternoon.

The Bonnies (13-4, 2-0 Atlantic 10) led 12-0 after four minutes, 23 seconds and 44-21 at halftime.

Stefanie Gerardot led the Minutewomen (8-10, 1-2 A-10) with 125 points, and Kristina Danella added eight points and seven rebounds.

The Minutewomen return home to face No. 24 Xavier at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Mullins Center.
