This tractor-trailer truck sits damaged Friday after hitting the Wellness Associates Inc. building on Pleasant Street in Northampton. The driver was coming from the back of the building and had to make a sharp turn.

NORTHAMPTON - An truck driver making a sharp turn around a Pleasant Street building cut it a bit too close, damaging his trailer and the building's awning.

No one was hurt. The accident happened about 7:30 a.m. this morning at 395 Pleasant St., home of Northampton Wellness Associates.

Police said Anthony A. Tegolini, 68, of Prospect, Conn., was driving his 18-wheeler from behind the building toward Pleasant Street when the roof of his trailer clipped the corner of the building.

A city building inspector examined the building and determined it was safe to occupy, police said. The tractor-trailer was towed away by Harold's Garage, located a block away.
